Summer Camp 2014: My Camp Diary ...

In August 2014, four cadets and two staff from Wantage Air Cadets attended a week long camp at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire along with other cadets from Thames Valley Wing. Here Cdt Edwards shares his experiences through his camp diary.

Central Sector Land at Henlow

Article taken from http://www.aircadets.tv/news/455  24 cadets and a number of staff from Thames Valley wing attended the second in a series of weekend camps which Central sector visiting RAF Henlow. The majority of the cadets were new to their squadrons and this was their first camp with the ATC (Air Training Corps) and for some their first time staying away from home.

Cdt FS Osasona from 2477 (Britwell) squadron attended RAF Valley in January to experience a once in a life time opportunity to have a flight in a hawk aircraft. She attended Easter Camp last year and was awarded Best NCO to which she was award the opportunity to fly in the Hawk and has told us how the day went.

Wantage Air Cadets wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

As the squadron stands down for Christmas we hope that you'll all have a safe and enjoyable break. In particular, the squadron staff would like to thank the contribution and support from the cadets, squadron Civilian committee, parents and other supporters throughout 2013.

Although we're not parading for the next two weeks, plans are still underway for our Annual Awards night on 14 January, and for our next intake night in January. The 2014 training programme begins on Tuesday 7 January.

An International Success at Shrivenham Defence Academy

Wantage Cadets Remember the Fallen

On Saturday 10th November staff and cadets from Wantage Air Cadets paraded through the streets of Wantage in remembrance of those who have given their lives for their country.
